About the Artisans
The earrings and macrame products are supplied by Small Project Istanbul, a centre which supports Syrian refugee women in Istanbul to learn new skills and earn money by producing crafts. More than 60 Syrian women have grown in self-confidence and ownership of the brands "Drop Earrings Not Bombs" and "Muhra" which share their message of experience and individuality.

The art of tying knots, plaiting and weaving, called macrame, is done by Syrian refugee women in Istanbul. Muhra is a brand developed by the Syrian women in cooperation with local designers. The slogan for the new collection is "Together boundless", the products are a symbol of collective progress. Hang the macrame proudly in your space and be reminded of the impact you have in the lives of these women!
