New Whipped Shea Butter with Baobab Oil

Developing new body butter formula is a game of trial and error - but sometimes you are lucky to find the perfect balance. We thank Silja, a former volunteer in Kongo village for this recipe. Silja is an Estonian teacher who spent a whole year in the village, organising teacher trainings and other events. She was a valuable assistant to our basket weavers and shea makers. Many of the beautiful pictures from the village have been taken by her. Back in Estonia she started marketing their products and developing them further.

For this recipe you do not need to melt the shea butter until it is liquid. Warm it to +40 C when it comes soft and smooth, like sour cream. Add 15% of baobab oil and whip for 15 minutes until it is nice and fluffy. This mix will let you pamper and hydrate your skin in the most luxurious way. And what's best, these products are both 100% natural and ethical!
